The Wisconsin Society Colonial Dames XVII Century has two Wisconsin Chapters and has decided to develop more chapters to increase membership by expanding into new areas. Our first step was to hold a basic genealogy workshop on May 6, 2017 at the Roehl Public Library in Marshfield, Wisconsin. We had thirteen enthusiastic attendees who enjoyed coffee and freshly made scones as they watched our newly developed PowerPoint presentation on lineage, i.e., proofs to connect generations. The feedback was favorable, and we have plans for another meeting in September to help the prospectives begin the application process. The success of this workshop has us optimistic to continue to build new chapters in Wisconsin.
